I did a
post awhile ago showing how much Neil moves around at night. We've also noticed that he really likes to stick arms and legs through the slats in the crib. He's only gotten stuck once and that was a long time ago, and never actually hurt himself. I will admit we never did end up using a bumper in the crib although we had a breathable mesh one, and at this point a bumper is a definite no no because he could use it to climb up and get/fall out of the crib.
These pictures are from March 2014 through August 2014 just for a time frame. Ages ~14 to 18 months.
And then just for fun a couple of pictures that were just funny
but didn't have appendages sticking out of the crib slats...
Haha!! I love funny sleep positions! Parker is the exact same way. He still doesn't stay on his pillow at night, and moves all around his bed.
ReplyDeleteAt some point we at least all learn to lie one way in a bed (head on pillow) but I wonder when that will ever happen! Although I guess some people move around more than others even as adults.
DeleteWe all do move sound differently as adults. I wonder why now.
DeleteWe put in a breathable bumper because Ella has gotten a leg stuck and actually got it wedge because she bent her leg and didn't know what to do. Both times she had big red marks so then we bought one.
ReplyDeleteWow yeah when Neil did get stuck he didn't have marks or anything. We do have the breathable bumper, just never installed it. Oh well.
DeleteJust another example of every baby being different. Also maybe Ella's fatter legs make it worse for her?
DeleteHaha who knows. I still find it funny that it seems to be universal, sticking legs and arms out the crib slats. There's a reason they make bumpers.
