Happy New Year, everyone! I hope everyone had a good time celebrating, whether it was with sleeping cozily in bed, being out with friends/family, or even just spending time home with family.
I'll be honest, 2011 was one of my worst years, if not the worst one I've ever had. But I'm hoping that will make 2012 even better, and I'm going to lean on God and be positive about the future!
I don't usually make resolutions but I decided there are some things I do want to do this year. So here they are:
1. I ran 7 races (all 5ks) in 2011. I'd like to beat that number in 2012. And add in additional types of races- maybe a 10k and a 1b resolution is to run the Pittsburgh Half Marathon in May. The training looks daunting, but we'll see!
2. Clean out our storage space by the middle of the year! We're wasting money on that every month. We got it when we were trying to sell our house, over a year and a half ago, to get rid of the clutter in our house. And the fact that we haven't touched anything in there is saying something. (And when I mentioned this one to Dave, he said this is really a resolution for both of us. So sorry, Dave! I made one for you, too.)
3. I'm going to try to blog more. Even if things aren't going well and I don't want to talk about them in public (in a blog or anything like that) I want to find the positive things that are happening and talk about them. Also, with Dave and me being so busy, this might end up being posts about the runs I'm doing but that will help with my first resolution. I know I keep saying I'll blog more but I'm making it an official resolution now. :) So this time I mean it!
So, for normally not making ANY resolutions, I have 3! We'll have to see in 366 days how I did.
And here is the first picture of me in 2012, which Dave took at the party we were at last night.
