Dave and I decided to take an impromptu vacation day today. I'm kind of between projects at work right now, it's beautiful outside, and when the projects are busy it's hard to take vacation. So might as well, right?
I asked Dave if he wanted to take the day off and he said sure but only if we can keep working on our garage and attic so we can clean out our storage space and stop paying monthly fees for that. (We rented it out when we tried to put our house on the market; to declutter. But that was 2 years ago, and if we haven't missed most of that stuff...)
I cajoled a little- laid around being lazy for awhile. But we eventually started working on stuff. It's really fun to look through boxes. I have found so many pictures of family and friends, old yearbooks, things I even forgot I had kept. (And I'm taking a break writing this blog post.)
So what a vacation day. LOL. But I have to say, it was really nice sleeping in.
(Why do we also pick the really warm days to be lugging boxes and that kind of stuff???)
Welcome to my life. It's crazy, and busy, but that's really the way I like life to be.
