We went to a final walkthrough before the closing of our house, to kind of say goodbye. I made sure I got some pictures of Nathan in there to show he was at least there once. It was definitely bittersweet. I have a lot of good memories in that house. I lived there almost 10 years. It's surprising how much you can really love a place in such a short (relatively) amount of time. I also thought it would be my starter home, not one to raise a family in.
We celebrated our debt free life after the closing at
D's Six Pax and Dogs, a place I really miss. They have hot dogs which are amazing. My favorite is the one with macaroni and cheese on it. Yum. And of course they have a great craft beer selection on tap.
We split our time in Pittsburgh between Dave's sister's house and a friend's house. The friend was closer to our old stomping grounds so we were able to see some people and do some things a lot easier, especially considering the kids' schedule. (Well who am I kidding, Nathan isn't on a schedule, so it should be Neil's schedule.)
It was great to see the family though and Neil really enjoyed running around with his cousins.

| I know, this is really blurry but it's so cute I HAD to post it. |
 |
| My brand new tula carrier. Love it. |
 |
| Neil loves our friends' dog. |
 |
| We met friend's at Dad's, similar to D's but under different ownership. Good dogs and beer. |
 |
| We went to the zoo- separate post here. |
 |
| All tuckered out from the zoo... |
 |
| ...both of them. |
We took Nathan to his first Pirates game. Separate post to follow.

| Cousin time after the game |
I love the hug picture. I have never been to D's. Funny because I lived right on Northern Pike so it was super convenient.
ReplyDeleteThe Tula looks so similar to the ergo. I should look up what the differences are.
Looks like you guys had a great trip back.
