Pittsburgh Zoo

We made it back to the Pittsburgh zoo, one last time (probably) with our membership. (Here is one of the first times we took Neil.) We went as soon as it opened and managed to make it halfway through before the crowds started. I thought during the school year during the week it would be pretty dead but they had a TON of school groups and buses. It was kind of crazy. This just proves again why I like to go when museums, etc. open. Beat the rush.

Look at the tiger, mommy!

I need to find a picture but I had this same shirt on the first time we took Neil to the zoo,
with the same hat on him and wearing him in the same ring sling.
I could only find a post of the 2nd time we went, which is linked at the top of this post.

Neil really loves the elephants

The polar bear came right up to us! (And then so did the crowd)

We ended our trip with the petting zoo.

  2. It seems you have trained Neil well....he loves the zoo and knows just what to look for. Arriving early was always a killer for me, but Dad followed the arrive early philosophy too, and it certainly does work very well.
