Citrus Lane October 2014

This is the 10th month we've gotten a box from Citrus Lane. We received a box for free and then bought a six month subscription. Since then I bought another 6 month subscription for $105 total so that's $17.50 per box. My favorite box so far has the May box. This one was definitely a close second though. We liked all the items in the box.

I saved this box for right before we left for a vacation (long weekend) and was so glad I did. Everything in the box was for Neil and we took everything with us. It was nice for him to have new toys to play with. We did keep them for the motel room because of the rolling parts and noise but he really seemed to like them in the motel room. We even lost the policeman and I had to look under beds for it before we left. (I did find it.)

We got two city sets and they're both really cute. They both seem very well made, are wooden, and the wheels move freely.

Maracitos from Hohner Kids

Neil already loves music and "drums" so of course he loved these and was shaking them out of the box. Although we took them on vacation they stayed in our checked luggage. I figured other passengers on the plane would not appreciate hearing this an entire flight.

Dinosaur Board Book from Chronicle Books

I'm so glad we got another book this month. It's been awhile since we've received a book in a box. Books are always a hit for Neil. I was able to choose between a couple of dinosaur books and chose the alphabet one because I figured it would help Neil learn names of dinosaurs. There are a lot I haven't heard of, but it also has the standards- Tyrannosaurus Rex, Stegosaurus, etc. Dave did complain he didn't know how to pronounce a lot of the names. If I don't know I make my best guess.

Chronicle Books included a coupon code. This is the first time I've only received one coupon code. But, I've never used any of the coupon codes to date so that's not really a big deal for me.

Overall counting the "sale" prices on Amazon the value of the box was $37.22.  This box seems to be cheaper than the ones in the past but we loved the items in it a lot more so I would still say it's worth the value. Only one box was "cheaper" and it was only by $1-2. At times the value has been above $50 but it seems like this is the range, and I'm sure the Amazon prices vary as well.
