Citrus Lane January 2015

This is the 13th and final month we've gotten a box from Citrus Lane. We received a box for free and then bought a six month subscription. Since then I bought another 6 month subscription for $105 total so that's $17.50 per box. My favorite box was the November box. The boxes have REALLY improved the last few months and I'm sad to cancel this subscription but we need to cut costs and with trying to move realized just how much STUFF we have so I did decide this will be the last one.
Here's a breakdown of the items and how much they would cost on Amazon as of today:
Beginner Puzzle Set from Petit Collage

This is perfect for Neil. He is starting to love puzzles. It came with 4 different puzzles in the box ranging from a 3-piece puzzle to a 6-piece puzzle. I pulled it out before reading the description (which says start with the 3 piece puzzle and when they master it move on), and dumped all the pieces out. I did sort them for Neil but he pretty quickly was able to put together the 3, 4, and 5 piece puzzles all by himself. He loves that they are vehicles and points out the animals in the vehicles.

$13.95 on Amazon and eligible for Amazon Prime.

Cuppies from JJ Rabbit

I wasn't sure about this on pulling it out of the box but Neil was enthralled with it. It's a regular cup (to transition from a sippie cup) and has an animal on the inside to encourage the kids to drink to see the animal. Neil got a penguin, and he loves penguins. He kept picking up the cup and trying to pull the penguin out saying "stuck." I finally gave in, and even thought it wasn't time to eat yet, I hand washed this and put some milk in it. I've never seen him drink milk so fast and surprisingly he did NOT spill until he got close to the bottom. He kept wanting me to refill it. I have a feeling we're going to have to buy another of these.

$8.99 on Amazon and eligible for Amazon Prime.
Eco-Dough from Eco-Kids

Neil also immediately wanted to break into this (although he thought it was paint) and I opted for the puzzle instead because I needed to start dinner and didn't want him making a mess. Neil is starting to get into play-dough so I'm looking forward to breaking this out. We got two colors. The card that describes the products claims this won't dry out, so we'll see about that!

$24.99 on Amazon but on sale for $16.99 and eligible for Amazon Prime. This price, though, is for a pack of 5 different colors and we got 2. I'm going to divide the price by half then and say it's probably about $8.50.
Hot Chocolate on a Stick from Popbar

At first I thought this was meant for Neil and I was thinking I wouldn't give it to him. The concept is to warm up milk and then dip this in, and it's has chocolate to flavor the milk chocolate and then a marshmallow as well. You swirl it around in the hot milk to flavor it like hot chocolate. Then I read the description on our card and it says this is for mom and dad. I am kind of glad they weren't sending this with a toddler in mind. Neil can't seem to handle anything that has any heat (temperature heat) so I don't think we would have used this for him even if that was the intention. I haven't tried it yet but I look forward to it. I love hot chocolate.

$2.99 on Amazon plus $6.02 (?!) for shipping.
There were coupon codes included for Petit Collage, JJ Rabbit, free shipping at Eco Kids, and Pop Citrus. There was also a coupon for 60% off your first outfit from Fabletics with a VIP membership. I looked at that but with trying to save money I'm not going to use that. Plus being pregnant I'm not in the market for new athletic/running clothes. But it looks like an interesting concept. They pick out outfits they think would be a match for you, and you choose which ones to keep. I've seen reviews of services like this before for clothes in general and always been a bit curious about it.

Overall counting the "sale" prices on Amazon the value of the box was $40.36.

    1. I need to catch up- I haven't seen what was in yours. I do think that the older boxes seem to be better than the younger ones. We must have bumped up to an older box.

    1. This was a great last box! We don't use the cup too often- I need to more. It motivates Neil to drink more, too. And he loves it.
