Weekly Pictures 4/26 to 5/2

I have a picture similar to this with Neil, I need to find it.
My sister came to visit- it was great to see her! We don't see either of my siblings very often.
Or my parents for that matter.

There is a state park nearby that we checked out.
This looks like an ideal running spot with a 3+ mile route that is a bit hilly.

Neil zonked out and yes I know the straps aren't tight enough.

This is a beach near us, love the view.

My sister got Neil a scooter for a late birthday present.
He's a little small for it but he loves it.

Siblings! missing one of course. And plus a little baby.

Hanging out by ourselves at the roller skating rink

We got a haircut, this is before.

This is during- he would NOT wear the cape (hair all over his clothes)
and slouched like this for the poor woman cutting his hair. My stubborn son.
Where does he get THAT from?

After! Honestly we're not really happy with how she did- it's uneven and stuff.
But it looks a lot better shorter and wow how grown up!

Bedtime reading

This was a Moby fail that I took a selfie of to send to a friend and figure out what I'm doing wrong.
She doesn't think it's tight enough. I'll try again. (I'm borrowing her Moby and thinking about buying a Tula.)

We went to the Aquarium. It was my first time with Neil and Nathan together without a family member. I did meet other mom friends. Neil ran away once and it was scary. I only found him because he opened a door that was for employees only. It was in a dark wall and the light made me look over. I spanked him. This was so dangerous. It was crowded and I did panic but tried to stay calm as I looked for him. I told him if he did that again we were going home.

This is the closest playground to our house. Neil LOVES it.

We wanted to checkout downtown Mystic and they had some stroll type thing going on (specials in the stores and some things on the sidewalk). It's a really nice area and we got to see the drawbridge raise to let a boat through. One of the shop owners told us that this was the first time she's seen that happen (this year?!) on the weekend. It was a bit chilly in the shade and we'll have to go back- there were other areas we didn't check out. We wanted to get home for Neil's nap and Nathan was going to get hungry. I do nurse in public but sometimes it's just more convenient at home. (I want to get something like an Ergo or Tula which might be easier for nursing while walking around.)

One of the sidewalk things- she made balloon animals (Neil has a turtle on his wrist) and then did a little story for Neil.
While Neil napped, Nathan played

While Neil napped, Daddy went to the comic book store for free comic day.
Neil was thrilled when he woke up and saw he had a bunch of new comic books.
That afternoon we also went to a local Kids Karnival. Separate full post to follow.

Daddy and Nathan time after the carnival.

    1. That's one thing about here, tons of beaches! I'm learning where they are but apparently after Memorial Day they all charge. We'll probably get a parking pass for the year or something.

    1. Yeah it helps to have someone who knows what they're doing show it to you. It's awesome for newborns but the weight limit is fairly low so I think I'm going to buy a tula or ergo maybe.

    2. I checked and the moby wrap I have goes up to 35 lbs so I could be using it with Ella if I wasn't scared. The ergo I have I think goes up to something like 45 lbs. my friend had one similar to an ergo but when I looked it up it only went to 25 lbs so I kept the ergo. She let me choose then gave the other away to a different neighbor.
