Weekly pictures 5/3 to 5/9

Sunday I took Neil and Nathan to a playground to meet up with a friend and her two kids, who are close in age to Neil (on either side). It was nice to let him run around and another kid had a soccer ball the kids were playing with. It was kinda hard to nurse Nathan and keep an eye on Neil though. I still need to get the hang of that.

My friend Colleen made matching shirts for Neil and Nathan before Nathan was born. We put them on them at the same time and made sure we took a bunch of pictures. I thought they were so cute! (Other pictures from this will show up in future posts as well.)

I took a walk with Neil around the neighborhood kind of. It's not really a very "friendly" walking/running neighborhood. The sidewalks aren't that great and being on the road could be interesting.

I pulled out my non-maternity shirts. I told Dave I can't wear them yet and he said I could
so I posed with one on so I could see for myself.
I'm still not wearing them but figured I'd put the picture of me posing up here.
I love how he sleeps with his arms up and out.

I laughed at Dave's and Neil's matching looks

I had my first day out with both kids without any other adults. This is big for me mostly from the nursing perspective, because it's hard to nurse when Neil is running around, especially if he's not listening. I made a separate post for this day but we went to Walmart to buy a beach tent, then to the beach, and then to a children's museum.

I'm really happy that Neil has taken to Nathan, even though there are some attention issues (that he wants more attention from me). It doesn't seem like he necessarily blames Nathan. I wish I knew what he was really thinking. And I didn't expect him to care much about Nathan until Nathan could really react and respond but even from the beginning Neil has wanted to hold Nathan, hug him, pick him up, etc.

Neil and his sloth (sounds like he's saying "soft")
After I changed Nathan's diaper he really was interested in what was outside
so I held him up to the window. So cute!

We pulled out the water table I bought used for $4 (Yay garage sales!) at the end of last season. I need to get more toys for it though. And the water was pretty cold.

Dave was doing bicycle legs and Nathan fell asleep
Swaddled but refusing to sleep (I'm trying to burp him here)

    1. Thanks. I kept thinking and thinking what I could make that they might like. And I made them so early I was guessing sizes and hoping for the best. I picked monkeys because I knew Neil sang 5 Little Monkeys on video in one of the posts. (My monkey template is popular. 4 other moms make a monkey)

    2. Colleen has sent a lot of really really cute stuff for both boys. I need to do a post someday of different outfits. I haven't been really good in the past about making sure I get pictures, but I've had some since Neil was under a year from her!

The monkeys turned out so cute!

    1. Yep that's the afghan you made!

Uh yeah I guess I can wear regular shirts but I'm still waiting on the tighter ones (like that one) to be a little thinner. :)
