| Maybe a step stool wasn't such a good idea... |

OMG He is getting so big. We had a step stool in the kitchen, Key word? Had. Sydney moved it all over the place to get to anything she wanted on the counters and would try to "help" with everything (except when her helping wasn't helping because she was throwing everything from the drainboard on the floor!)... I only bring it out when I'm doing something she can help with. Keeps her happy & me sane lol
ReplyDeleteHaha yes, this step stool was meant for the bathroom and it is now getting dragged around the house. I guess we're going to have to hide it as well. Do you have any solution to letting them "help" when you're cooking or something like that? There are some days I just can't get anything done because he's clinging to my legs.
DeleteHa, love the last pic!
ReplyDeleteHaha so do I. I have a few of those but had to post the one with him sticking his tongue out. We also need a better spot for our snack type stuff. He's grabbing these boxes down and running around the house with them. (I see rice everywhere someday...)
DeleteWe put all of our snack stuff on the highest shelf in the pantry. There have been MANY a tantrum over that one ;)
DeleteOur snacks are currently left out or on top of the cabinets. I need a step stool myself. I guess Ella will need a ladder to get to them.
DeleteHaha!
DeleteI should take pictures. I asked Dave to reach something for me the other day. I swear he pushes stuff back on purpose. If it hangs over the edge I can get it.
DeleteIn the last pic are those cords or what is he doing?
ReplyDeleteI like the first and last pics best.
The white things? That's part of the cabinet. It's kind of decorative. He's eyeing up all of our snacks. He likes to take them down. He was excited that he could get to eye level. We just bought this stool (along with a potty chair, the one that goes on top of your toilet). The stool is MEANT for the bathroom and being able to climb onto the toilet, but he's dragging it around the house. Using it to stand at the window, and in general get into things he couldn't quite reach.
DeleteHa and before you ask, no, we aren't potty training. I don't think he's ready. But he really likes to sit on the toilet so we got the chair for him and sometimes he will sit there for a little bit. He's actually gone in the toilet at daycare but not reliably. I'm not sure he can tell you ahead of time yet that he has to go.
It looked like snacks plus cords. Glad that's just decorative.
DeleteThe neighbor here told me that 18 months seems to be a magic age to potty train. And she used the 3 day method.
DeleteBoys can take longer and they need to be ready (any kid). Neil isn't ready, yet. ;) I do know that. But I think it will help to let him sit on the toilet if he wants to. And if he goes we are going to cheer and stuff to show him it's a good thing. LOL.
