How many weeks: 26
Size of baby: A cauliflower and measures 24 cm or 9.4 inches, crown to rump length. Head to toe is 14 inches. The baby also weighs 850-1000 grams of 1.8-2.2 pounds.
Total Weight Gain/Loss: I gained 3 pounds this past week so I'm up 8.5 pounds total now.
Maternity Clothes: So I am wearing the same clothes as last time for the most part but I have to say I bought two new pairs of pants for work. One is a pair of corduroy pants and the other is a pair of khakis. I only had dark pants. I got both of these from Old Navy in long length. Both pairs are pretty tight in the legs (make me feel awesome actually although I bet later in the pregnancy when I swell up I won't be able to wear them) but they're loose on the top and falling down. I need to find longer shirts or something because the panel keeps showing and I'm constantly pulling them up. Also, they are long length but not really that long on me. With that said, it's nice to have some variety on the pants side. I need to keep from buying things though because after this pregnancy I'm getting rid of all these maternity clothes. (I got both of these in some Black Friday type deals or I wouldn't have bought them. They were great deals I couldn't pass up.)
Gender: Boy.
Movement: Sometimes the movement feels like twisting. I feel it a lot now. If I haven't felt anything in awhile I pause because I'm getting used to it again. He likes to move the most at night. I think I sleep through a lot of it right now. For the first time I actually had something knocked in my hands that was on my stomach (a book). So you can definitely see it if you really look, when he kicks hard.
Sleep: I am sleeping pretty well! On the weekend though I tend to wake up early (when I would get up for work) and then I can't fall back asleep even though I'm still tired.
What I miss: Not really a whole lot at this point. Still just having energy I think.
Cravings: Nothing.
Aversions: Nothing.
Symptoms: I'm feeling movement, getting bigger, finally did gain some weight, feeling in general tired, slowing down when it comes to walking around (especially if I'm carrying Neil which I'm still doing).
Best moment this week: We went to a train bash and Santa made an appearance. Neil ran right up to Santa, sat in his lap, and gave him a hug. It was adorable.
Looking forward to: I have one more full day (next Monday) at work and other than that I'm done for the rest of the year! Yay to vacation time. (We have to use it and can't carry it over.)
Same this time: Ok so I re-read last time's post for this week and I talked about being tired. Maybe I didn't have as much energy as I'm remembering then, haha. I really don't care too much for actually being pregnant but it's so worth holding a baby in my arms. I still hug Neil and just think what a miracle he is. I just did the other day.
Different from last time: Last time I was exercising regularly. This time I've been trying to keep up running but only doing that about once a week and the past few weeks because I've been sick I haven't been doing anything. I feel like I had more energy at this point last time and I'm thinking that's because of the exercise. I need to get moving back on that somehow.

Maternity clothes are SO expensive. I hated that part of it. I'm glad you got some good deals. You're really starting to show now! :)
ReplyDeleteYep! My muscles are done. I think they just went oofff and let go.
DeleteMaybe our definition of tired is different now.
ReplyDeleteI remember the panel sticking out of the bottom of some tops. Only one or 2 of yours but all of the ones I bought off that person on fb were too short.
I had some skinny jeans that I couldn't wear after week 32 or so. My legs were just too thick after that.
I might be tired for different reasons. I'm not exercising much this time due to lack of time. :( I can't remember if I mentioned that yet.
DeleteAnd yeah even my normal pants I felt like a marshmallow towards the end. I remember the last month being super bad and only wearing a huge pair of sweatpants at home that entire month. I would walk in the door and pretty much switch pants immediately.
Oops. Duh. I did not re-read this post when writing this comment. I did mention lack of exercise.
