12 weeks

How many weeks: 12 (9/9/14)

Size of baby: A plum and measures 5-6 cm or 2.0-2.4 inches. The baby also weights 14 grams or about 0.5 ounces. 

Total Weight Gain/Loss: Down 7 pounds overall. I lost half a pound in the past week.

Maternity Clothes: Nope although I think my butt is getting bigger.

Sleep: This week has been extremely stressful at work and I did not sleep much for 5 nights in a row. I actually took Benadryl one night just to try to sleep a little bit.

What I miss: Sometimes I miss relaxing with beer in hand. Like when a football game is on.

Cravings: None.

Aversions: Nothing specific, it seems to change.

Symptoms: With the stress I have completely forgotten I was pregnant. ;)

Best moment this week: I have heard the heartbeat a few times on Doppler at home, which helps me relax a bit knowing everything is ok despite lack of sleep and stress. And now on the Doppler I can find the heartbeat pretty consistently and easily.

Looking forward to: Finding out boy or girl which should be next week!

Same this time: My weight is still tracking similarly. If it's like last time I should plateau about now and start gaining around Week 17. However, I'm expecting to gain earlier in this pregnancy since my muscles aren't as good as they used to be and I haven't been exercising the past few weeks.

Different from last time: Last time I was very low on energy. This time I've been so distracted with other things (work, toddler) that I feel like I haven't had a chance to be tired or anything. Plus my blood pressure (for me) has been higher so I'm not feeling so light headed which was a big problem last time. I had been feeling light headed but my blood pressure has been rising the last few weeks. Also, I haven't taken a picture yet. Last time I was analyzing pictures and insisting I was showing.
