8 weeks

How many weeks: 8 (8/12/14)

Size of baby: 12
mm, raspberry

Total Weight Gain/Loss: Down 3 pounds overall

Maternity Clothes: Definitely not yet. I'm trying to wear all my regular clothes as much as I can so I'm actually wearing my tightest clothes right now.

Sleep: I've been having some issues with my gums which are affecting sleep. I've been pretty tired in general.

What I miss: Not a whole lot.

Cravings: None.

Aversions: Not really anything.

Symptoms: I still feel hungover most of the time. Dave said maybe I'm dehydrated but I'm downing water like crazy. I'm breaking out more. And this week I had some major issues with my gums. My one gum swelled up like crazy and ended up with a blood blister- really really gross. It still hurts, 4 days later, but it's not quite as swelled up now.

Best moment this week: The weekend was nice, spending time together as a family.

Looking forward to: Being able to hear the baby's heartbeat on a doppler, which won't be for a few more weeks.

Same this time: Sometimes it can still be easy to forget I'm pregnant. I said I don't miss a lot but sometimes I do miss having a beer- like when we were at the Pirates game this week. This is the same as last time- a mix between missing the beer but loving the reason I'm not drinking.

Different from last time: I think this pregnancy is settling in a lot more than last time. I have a hard time not talking about it publicly like everyone knows. And the morning sickness is different. It's also nice to be happy about not looking bigger yet, haha, where last time I kept saying that you could see my belly and everyone kept telling me you couldn't. Also, now I'm thinking about labor and remembering some things (you do forget others) and going oh my what did I get myself into?

  2. And what am I forgetting from labor?! Although it's always different so eh I'm not worrying about it (most of the time). What happens happens.
