How many weeks: 9 (8/19/14)
Size of baby: Grape or olive, 20 mm (2 cm)
Total Weight Gain/Loss: Down 5 pounds overall (my weight overall is fluctuating quite a bit daily, I'm not really steady right now).
Maternity Clothes: Nope. I feel like I have some stomach fat but I know it's just fat. I think maybe not exercising as much is the problem.
Sleep: I'm not sleeping well but it has nothing to do with pregnancy, it's stress related.
What I miss: Nothing.
Cravings: None.
Aversions: In general sometimes I just don't feel hungry. The other day I went to Chipotle and looking at some of the food in line made me feel like I wanted to puke. I wasn't sure I'd be able to eat my food but it was fine so... who knows!
Symptoms: This has dropped back again which of course makes me nervous.
Best moment this week: Neil and I went to the zoo on Saturday and he is really getting into the animals and stuff.
Looking forward to: Being able to hear the baby's heartbeat on a doppler, which will be next week! (I might also try my home doppler this week myself.)
Same this time: I don't feel pregnant. I'm not in maternity clothes. I am still nervous- I had a miscarriage dream this week. I thought this type of thing would be easier after having a baby but it's not. My appointment is right around 10 weeks and I'm curious to see how I'm going to feel emotionally. Last time even though a friend who's a nurse helped me find the heartbeat with a doppler before the appointment, I had a breakdown just sitting in the waiting room. The 10 week appointment is a huge milestone for me but I'm hoping I'm going to handle it better this time.
Different from last time: Re-reading my last post I felt a hard spot last time in my abdomen. Maybe I have too much mush down there now- I was in better shape before my pregnancy with Neil than I was before this one. I never did truly get back to where I was pre-pregnancy. I was getting close but not quite there. Also, this pregnancy is flying a lot more than the other. I have already lost track of weeks, we're just so busy in general. I wonder if this will continue to fly.
I know you think they're boring, but I'm really enjoying reading these posts.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I dunno, just keep reading. A lot of this still applies right now at 18 weeks tomorrow hahah. That's why I think it's pretty boring. Plus my highlights aren't pregnancy related and a lot of the differences/same things are the same over and over. The blog I saw do this actually talked about PREGNANCY things but apparently I don't really remember being pregnant before or something. Ha!
DeleteI didn't realize you were already 18 weeks! Will you be finding out the sex?
DeleteWe actually did, at around 12 weeks. I think it's in the 13 week post so give it a few days haha. I don't want to give the secret away! It's been funny watching people guess not even realizing we already know. (Not a super big announcement when I do say on that post but it's there.) I had that genetic blood test where they can see the fetal chromosomes in the mom's blood.
DeleteAnd yeah we announced pretty late so I'm already almost 18 weeks. It's crazy to think about. Plus I'm not showing yet so even if you see pictures on Facebook or here you wouldn't know.
Okay that is so unfair! Haha!! I want to know now!! When you said you found out at 12 weeks I was like WOW, but then hearing you had that blood test it made sense. lol.
