Sunday was Dave's birthday so we celebrated with some cake, which Neil of course loved, and presents. The presents from Neil were really things for him- a book for them to read together, an ugly doll that Neil picked out and keeps claiming as his, etc.

One night while cooking dinner I heard the screen door slide open and then shut again. When I turned around this is what I saw. Guess he can get in and out the door now! At least he closed it behind him. He ended up in our backyard running and jumping around. (It's fenced in so I wasn't too worried and could hear him from the kitchen.)

My friend had tickets to the wild card playoff game (which we did lose but we had fun at the game and it was a great season overall). We hung out outside the park before the game and the atmosphere was GREAT until the Giants hit a grand slam. The Pirates were shut out, unfortunately, and that grand slam just took the wind out of the fans.

So many cute pictures. I love vests for little boys also. So adorable. Neil getting outside is hilarious. Parker has done that multiple times. He knows how to unlock doors and everything. Kind of scary!
ReplyDeleteNeil can't turn doorknobs or unlock doors, yet! This was at least just the sliding door to our back deck. Do you remember when Parker started being able to turn doorknobs and unlock doors?
DeleteWell you sparked my curiosity so I went back and looked. He started opening doors with knobs at 23 months, but didn't learn how to undo a lock and deadbolt til later. As of right now he's so skilled he can get out of any lock/door. He will even take the metal security beam we put in our patio door track out and unlatch the patio door to get outside.
