Weekly pictures 12/28 to 1/3

Since I was home a lot with the holidays, I have a lot more pictures this week.

We went to church again and Neil made a beeline for the drums as soon as he could (even though now he has his own small set).

Loving the toddler bed- now we read to him there every night as part of the bedtime routine.
We also wore out a slinky he's had but just discovered.

Neil loves this Mickey Mouse we got on sale after Christmas

Passing on the music knowledge

Tuesday I had my 1 hour glucose test and was nervous about that. I spent the morning keeping myself busy, cooking, baking, etc. and making sure I didn't eat anything I was making (licking spoon whatever) to keep from swaying the test. I took an Ativan because they thought cortisol levels may have been elevated causing my sugar levels to be higher for the 1 hour test with Neil. I didn't take it until we were driving to the appointment, but I couldn't drive so Dave drove me and we took Neil with us.
Making peanut butter cookies to keep busy/preoccupied and not thinking about needles
Waiting the 1 hour at the midwife center. Having Dave and Neil there helped a LOT.
Yes this was my fault. Monkey see, monkey do.
This was after- I do not remember this picture. Apparently the after effects of Ativan were pretty intense and I conked out.

He decided to test out the exercise bike

We had the babysitter come in for New Year's and went to our friend's house. They had a good party with a lot of food and beer sampling. We did not do a very good job getting a selfie- this is shortly after midnight.

New Year's Day we were tired. Dave and I had been up pretty late and as anyone with kids knows, the kids just don't really sleep in. Neil decided to give everyone hugs.

Carrying his new Mickey Mouse around everywhere
More laziness on New Year's day

A unique way to use the bathtub crayons. At one point he had them on every finger.
And the washcloth on his head is all him.
Neil really likes Rock N Roll Elmo and was singing with Elmo into the microphone. He also liked to lick the microphone- guess we can't hand him a real one yet.

We visited Cellar Works Brewing, which will hopefully open this year. Good beer.

    1. I really wanted to hang out with friends- it's a really good group of friends, too. Although the next day I think both Dave and I were wondering if it was the smartest idea since Neil was wide awake and ready to go. Can we give kids sleeping pills? (KIDDING).

    3. Oh and it's pretty rare for me to not realize pictures have been taken. I saw those on Dave's phone and was like when was that?! And what was I doing? I must have just sacked out and Neil wanted to cuddle. Normally he'll tell us to wake up so maybe he realized he should leave me alone.

    1. Thanks! Our friends who hosted don't live very far away. I think I'm glad I couldn't drink or I would have been a lot worse off the next day.
